Sewer Planning Work Group
November 3, 2014 – 3:00 P.M.
4 Fairgrounds Rd, Community Room
Nantucket, MA
MINUTES
Attending: Steve Anderson, Matt Fee, Michael Glowacki, Dual Macintyre, Charlie Stott, Nancy
Wheatley, and David Worth.
Staff: DPW Director Buzanoski
1)Call to order,
Chair Wheatley called meeting to order at 3:00 when a quorum had assembled, and noted
that the consultants from Woodard and Curran would not be present.
2)Discussion with Rosemary Blacquier and Helen Gordon, of Woodard and Curran.
Director Buzanoski informed the group that it had been decided not to have the consultants
present until after the draft CWMP had been presented to the Board of Selectmen.
3)Other Business.
Director Buzanoski presented some highlights from the draft CWMP that would be presented
to the BOS at a workshop meeting scheduled for November 12, 6:00 p.m.
SPWG Members individually and unanimously expressed frustration that the group has not
gotten answers to the questions asked repeatedly since the earliest meetings. Mr. Macintyre
summarized for the group that the very first step is to get the information necessary to
develop collective confidence in the plan, and that we need do that before crafting a
prioritized list or any kind of funding plan.
2015 01 09 proposed revision: Motion by Mr. Fee seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve
minutes for January 30, 2014.
With unanimous consent, the chair will draft a memorandum to the Board of Selectmen.
Memo to advise the Board of the concerns that SPWG has, and to propose constructive steps
forward.
