Sewer Planning Work Group
Minutes
Meeting: Monday, September 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Town Hall conference room
Attending: Nancy Wheatley, Tim Soverino, Rick Atherton, Charlie Stott, Steve
Anderson, Mike Glowacki
Not in attendance: Dual McIntyre, Bob Williams
Also Attending: Libby Gibson Town Manager (introductions only), Kara Buzanoski
DPW Director, John Daniels Woodard & Curran, and Rosemary Blacquier Woodard &
Curran.
1) Review of Work Group Mission:
Mrs. Buzanoski stated that the group will be reviewing the information generated by
Woodard and Curran before it is incorporated into the CWMP so that it can be vetted.
2) Review Scope of Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan update:
Mrs. Buzanoski provided background on the CWMP process to date and introduced John
Daniels and Rosemary Blacquier. John Daniels presented the schedule for the CWMP.
Rosemary gave a synopsis of her work to date.
3) Review Plan of Work for the Group:
The group discussed the previous work of the Sewer Work Group and applicability of
that process to this process. Ms. Wheatley requested that the group review the regulatory
drivers of the CWMP process at the next meeting. Mr. Glowacki commented that the
MEP studies generate questionable information. Mr. Daniels commented that peer
reviews have been done and confirmed the results. Discussion ensued.
4) Schedule next meetings:
Meetings will be held the third Wednesday of each month from 1pm to 3pm at the DPW
Conference Room at 188 Madaket Road.
Meeting was adjourned at 11:30 am.
Next meeting is October 15, 2012 at 1pm in the DPW conference room.
