1. Welcome new members-
New members- Patty Myers- Grower/ farmer, John Kuszpa- Aspiring Grower
Michelle and Campbell discuss history and mission of the commission.
2. Overview current projects-
- mapping of agricultural areas available
- getting on the towns radar for available land and other ag. issues
- Island fair
- Licensing for chickens- exists but is not well utilized
- large animal vet- new Animal hospital is willing but lacks certification abilities
3. Elect officer's-
Move to elect Chair: Patty Nominates Campbell, Jessica Seconds, approved- all
Move to elect Vice-Chair- John nominates Michelle, Patty seconds, approved- all
Move to elect Clerk- Michelle nominates John, Campbell seconds, approved- all
4. Set agenda for next meeting-
1. Approve minutes from July 10, 2014 meeting
2. List current projects
3. Prioritize projects
4. Pick top 2 projects to work on.
5. Set adgenda for next meeting.
6. Set time and place for next meeting
